CLINICAL SERVICES
The PSCH Inc. clinical services division is comprised of unique programs that provide services to individuals residing in communities throughout the five boroughs of New York City, Westchester and Long Island.
Article 16 Habilitation Clinic
The Article 16 Clinic provides a wide range of diagnostic and habilitative services to persons with developmental disabilities and their families. All services offered are to support the development of the client’s individualization, independence, inclusion and productivity. Selective services are provided in various day programs, the community and in the comfort of the client’s home. The clinic is located in Astoria, Queens on Steinway Street.

AstroCare Diagnostic and Treatment Center
The Article 28 Clinic is a community-based Primary Diagnostic and Treatment Center, that provides comprehensive healthcare to address both primary and acute medical needs for both pediatrics and adults. Our comprehensive approach represents best practice for preventive care and management of chronic medical conditions. Services are provided in a state of the art facility with all the modern amenities and medical equipment needed to provide quality and comprehensive services to our patients. The clinic is located in the Crown Heights Area of Brooklyn.

Article 31 Clinic
The Article 31 Mental Health clinics are community-based specialty outpatient clinics that provide mental health services to adults and children. Services include, but are not limited to, psychotherapy, patient education and medication supportive therapy management. In addition, the VIP mobile program provides a full range of therapeutic services to geriatric clients who are homebound. The Article 31 clinics are located in both Crown Heights and Canarsie.

Medical and Psychiatric Review Team
In partnership with the New York City Department of Homeless Serves (DHS), the PSCH Medical Psychiatric Review Team (MRT) works to ensure that homeless adults with medical and psychiatric conditions are placed in settings appropriate to their needs. The MRT receives referrals for shelter placement from hospitals. The MRT also assesses the appropriateness of the shelter placement and reviews the treatment and the proposed discharge plan. The MRT’s assessments and recommendations are then sent to the DHS for a final determination.

Intensive Psychiatric Rehabilitation Treatment (IPRT)
The Intensive Psychiatric Rehabilitation Treatment (IPRT) is a goal-focused rehabilitation program for adults diagnosed with a mental illness. The IPRT assists clients with socialization, vocational and life skills goals. The program offers both group and individual therapy modalities to help clients improve and develop new skills. In this supportive yet dynamic environment, the IPRT clients learn to clarify goals and develop the personal skills needed to accomplish them. | |
Adolescent Skills Center (ASC)
The Adolescent Skills Center (ASC) is a program designed to ensure a successful transition from school to work for young adults 16-21 who are diagnosed with mental health needs. The program offers educational training which includes GED preparation and skill development focused on the attainment of placement into a preferred job training program and/or employment in a chosen field. The program provides opportunities to explore real life issues such as peer relationships, sexuality awareness, staying drug free and strengthening life skills. There are opportunities for the students to become involved in community service projects.
